Program/Site Admin - What ID should we use if the students do not have a Student ID?

The following article explains what to do if a student doesn't have a Student ID, as well as why Student IDs are required in the DESSA System.

Explanation

All students must have Student IDs in the DESSA System because it is the primary key by which ratings are tied to a student. It also helps to distinguish students who may have the same first and last name. If your program does not use Student IDs, you can create them yourself. Please note that Student IDs must be unique and cannot be duplicated even if they are in different sites. Student IDs may NOT be used more than once in the history of your program. If a student will be in your program for multiple years and you are creating an ID, please make sure to use the same ID each year for that student so their data remains correctly associated with their account.
