Data-Driven Strategies & Interventions Recommendations

Overview

The Data-Driven Recommendations Strategies & Interventions Report provides educators with targeted strategies and interventions based on students’ full DESSA data. These recommendations are available at the group level, so educators will see these recommendations based on their classroom results. Educators will also be able to create a custom group to view data-driven recommendations for just the students in that group. Program Administrators and Site Leaders can also view site-based recommendations. 

To generate the Data-Driven Strategies & Interventions Recommendations Report

1. Select Data and Insights at the top of the main dashboard

2. Select Data-Driven Recommendations from the menu on the left
3. Adjust the filter settings to narrow down the student data that will inform the strategy recommendations.

Note: This report can also be accessed on the My Students and Competencies report pages. 

Strategy Recommendations

Based on the selected group of students' full DESSA data, three strategy recommendations will be presented (See Image 1). The first strategy is based on students' strengths, and the second and third strategies will help you build students' growth in lower-scoring competencies. By selecting Use Strategy, you can View/Download Strategy and Track Strategy, allowing you to access the strategy and track your plans for implementing each strategy.

Tier 2 Intervention Programs

You will also receive one Tier 2 Intervention Program recommendation (See Image 2). These are multiweek programs designed for small group interventions. Each program is designed to be facilitated over a 4-8 week timeframe, depending on the focus area. The sessions are designed to be facilitated in about 30 minutes, with 3 lessons facilitated per week.

Details about this report:

• Available for Educators, Site Leaders, Program Administrators & Org Administrators
• This report will only show data of students who had ratings in BOTH rating windows, in order to compare apples to apples.
• Progress monitoring is excluded
• Select the … in the upper right-hand corner to print the report
• The Student Grade Level graph is showing the student’s current grade
• DESSA-mini forms do not have competencies and will not appear for the Competencies chart.
