DESSA System Password Policy
Overview
The following article outlines the password requirements for logging into the DESSA System.
Password Policy
All passwords should be at least eight (8) characters in length, though longer passwords are recommended for increased security. There are currently no system-enforced requirements for the types of characters used, but it is recommended to use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols to improve the strength of the password.
Passwords should not be written down or shared with others. They should be memorized or stored in a secure password manager. Aperture Education staff will never ask users for their password. If a user forgets their password, Aperture Support will email a link to their registered email address to reset the password.
Other Sign-In Options
Single Sign-On (SSO) can be used to set up login for both teachers and students. If a district has stricter password requirements or requires multifactor authentication (MFA) for signing in, Aperture also offers options to log in through Clever and ClassLink for students and Clever, ClassLink, Google and Microsoft for staff.
