Three New Assessments Aligned to Second Step Curriculum

We have partnered with Committee for Children, providers of the popular Second Step® SEL curriculum, to create three new DESSA assessments that align directly with the Second Step® curriculum. The new assessments are now available to programs that have purchased licenses for the DESSA Second Step® Assessments. As of this release, the following Second Step-aligned assessments are offered:

DESSA-SSESE (new)	Second Step® Elementary Digital Program	Teacher Completed
DESSA-SSE	Second Step® Classroom Kits for K-5	Teacher Completed
DESSA-SSMSE (new)	Second Step® Middle School Digital Program	Teacher-Completed
DESSA-SSMSE SSR (new)		Student-Completed

Clients using DESSA Second Step® Assessments will see their data and results aligned to Second Step®’s four curricular units instead of DESSA’s traditional competencies. This allows for easier program evaluation, intervention planning and briefer assessments. Student-completed Second Step® Assessments will be available in fifteen languages.
