Integrating with the Aeries student information system

This article contains guidance on setting up a SIS integration using the Aeries OneRoster CSV Extract feature.

Setting Up The Integration

• Add an SFTP Vendor
  • Select School Info
  • Select Imports and Exports
  • Select OneRoster v1.1 Configuration
• Under SFTP Vendors, select "Add Vendor"

• In the box that pops up, enter the following information:

Vendor Name	The name of the Vendor Example: Aperture Education
SFTP Server	Aperture Server name or IP address This will be sent to you by the Aperture Data Operations Team via a 1Password Secure Link
SFTP Directory	Leave this blank, you will upload directly to the root folder
SFTP Port	Port number  Aperture uses Port 22
Username	Username to connect to the Aperture server This will be sent to you by the Aperture Data Operations Team via a 1Password Secure Link
Password	Password to connect to the Aperture server This will be sent to you by the Aperture Data Operations Team via a 1Password Secure Link
Confirm Password	Confirm Password This will be sent to you by the Aperture Data Operations Team via a 1Password Secure Link

• Once you have entered the above information, click "Save"
• Under "Extract Files" select all of the following files to send in your OneRoster Export:
  • Academic Sessions
  • Classes
  • Courses
  • Demographics
  • Enrollments
  • Organizations
  • Users
• Leave the rest of the files unchecked as they will not be used in your integration with Aperture Education
• Under Scheduled Process, configure the following values:

Days to run SFTP	Days of the week to run the scheduled extract We recommend running the export every day so your rosters are always up to date in the Aperture System
Time	Time of day to run the scheduled extract on the selected day(s) Aperture Education runs the imports each morning at 2 AM EST. We recommend scheduling your files to run no later than 1:30 AM EST.
Email Address	Address to receive a confirmation email when the process completes. Multiple email addresses can be entered, separated by commas.
Scheduled Process Button	Enable the scheduled extract process

• Next, Aperture Education does not recommend adjusting any of the fields listed under "Custom Fields"
• Once you have filled out all of the above information, click "Save"
• To send files immediately to Aperture Education, click "Run Now and Upload"
